Pencils by :iconsquirrelshaver:
Inks by :iconbdstevens:

A few weeks ago I asked Mike if he could spare me some of his pencils in high res to have a play with. This is one of them...

I then farmed the high res pencils out to some of my favourite inkers here on DA and asked them to give it a shot. I got inks from :iconfullname:, :icondrklegion:, :icondevgear: and these one's by :iconbdstevens: All were terrific and it made choosing which to colour rather difficult but Doug won out through the 'little' things that he did such as the backpack strap crosshatching, plus the overall sharpness and steadiness of the inking on the lines.

Here's a group shot of the various inks side by side to compare -->

Overal scheme is based on the original coloured version by :iconsanjun: I made her a blonde for the simple reason I'm tired of doing redheads seemingly all the the time and altered the lighting somewhat...Oh, and see the grass down at the bottom right? Behold! I have found a use for the default 'grass' brush in photoshop!

Local Perth (Australia) people might recognise some of the destinations on the freeway sign :P

cheers
Sean

Your coloring and developing the figure for the woman is good, nice soft transitions in skin tones. I also like the texture and treatment of the grassy road side and cut up jeans. The only real trouble I see with the coloring is the graffiti, oil container and purple in the backpack are all running high saturation and seem to be competing on the same plane and aren't separated by depth. The yellow graffiti and oil container particularly, look like they are using similar hues and are occupying the same space, where as the illustration is trying to convey the oil container in the foreground and the graffiti is part of the mid ground. Maybe a lower saturation of color for the graffiti would draw less attention to it then is necessary for the space between the by-pass and the car.

Either way, the car and woman and handled and colored very well.
