So, this is the first picture that I've coloured using my new mouse (after dropping and breaking my old one of 7 years) and so I chose something simple to do while I get used to it. So far it's ok for the larger things but when it come to the fiddly little bits I don't seem to have the same control as I did with my old mouse.
They're both cheap-o $10.00 Logictech (old one was a M-UV95 and the new one is an M90) and the differences in the two are minimal when it comes to overall shape. The new one has a slightly straighter sides while the old tapers more and the software of the new one vs the old is significantly more responsive... but that's what seems to be making all the difference when it comes to the small bits. It's simply harder to make an accurate selection and to control the brush strokes.
I've gotten into the control panel and physically slowed the response time of the mouse through the settings and that's helped but I guess it'll just be up to time and practise while I get used to the new mouse...
What all this means is that this isn't what I'd call the best picture that I've ever done by a long shot.... but what can you do..? *shrugs* Just keep at it until I get back up to speed and familiarity with the new mouse.
