Keu donated this one for the ECCC 2012 Monsters and Dames charity book and got Hamid Bahrami to do the original colours

But then BD Stevens inked the pencils so I gave it a shot for myself. I wanted to get away from the usual dark brooding fire-in-the-background appearance that these Hex pieces seem to end up as and go with something lighter that shows off the monster a bit more. Anyway, this is what I got out of it. I had to fiddle the inks a bit to make it work but... *shrugs*

Now I'm just waiting on :iconfullname: to get that catwoman inks back to me (by Merrk)...

BTW - This is my 300th submitted deviation!

Great job with the colors. You're developing a deeper understanding of sculpting figures and lighting. I see growth! I'll have to keep an eye on you. :)

I'm also getting to know these characters and the series better so know what'll work in that "world" as opposed to just winging it and making it up as a I go on that first one I did last year

Personally I'd love to have a go at that wide banner/mass group shot one! :)

You want to color the banner art???? You have to color over pencils though.

sure! - but also, I'm sure I can find a tame inker here on DA that'll want to have a stab at it... like I did with this raoa/zorn one :P so that's not a big problem really.

but I can colour pencils if I have to. I'm just old fashioned in preferring trad. inks
