So :iconsurfaceart: Shawn Surface, even if he can't spell his name correctly, ( :P ) has this terrific character (IMO) called Kudu-Man, and he's been working pretty hard to promote him via his gallery here, comic conventions, forums and the like.

But it was bugging me horribly that while he had a character that was drawn really well, his colouring on it while ok overall, was letting him down. --> [link]

So I bugged the hell outa him for ages ... asked him if I could have his high res file just to give it a better shot at the colours and eventually he gave in... probably just to get rid of me... :P

So anyway, I spent the afternoon colouring this one up following the refs on his existing coloured version which can be seen in his gallery here on DA.

Anyway, I hope he likes it... use it, don't use it, it doesn't worry me at all. It was fun to do.

I live in South Africa... I never EVER would have thought to make a superhero based on a kudu. I'm in shock. Its like making cowman, pigman or chickenman. You just don't expect to see it.

No matter what I think of the character, though, you did a cool piece of art. :thumbsup:

Great use of a soft pallet, and nice lighting, but from what I see on his version, and seeing what others have said, perhaps the colors do tend to wash out a little to much ;)
