Ok let's see - we have an image hosted on a profile that is 1 day old and asks you to visit a website with a strange url with a promise of a financial reward on an another website. How do you even imagine that would work? And now, of course, people start crying that their computers got infected with malware. Which is great - every genius who fell for this obvious phishing scam deserved it. I hope your shitty computer burns and you along with it.

The trailer to "Equestria Girls" (the humanized MLP spinoff film) finally was released today. Aaaannnd everyone's freaking out. Again.
You know, it actually looks pretty decent. Bronies... please understand: I know you're a major unexpected demographic for the show. I know you enjoy seeing shout-out's become canon within the show, and appreciate how the creators do little things here and there for you. But... the show isn't made for you. This is not Cartoon Network and the target demographic isn't 25 year olds in college. You're a nice addition to the target demographic of little girls, but you are not the driving force behind MLP.
I don't want this to sound mean, but it needs to be said. This is where it becomes very important to understand the fine line between being a fan of the show and thinking that because you've invested so much energy into the show that you're entitled to things.
I'm sure the movie won't be as bad as everyone makes it out to be. It honest

Opinions are a Dangerous thing: Art StylesThis isn't about narking on anyone no, infact this is just my own muses really! You could say this is a journal for ENCOURAGEMENT! *SHINES*
I find sticking to one style restrictive if you are a beginning/moderate artist! (even professionals I might say! though I can't speak for everyone)
Having a distinctive look on how your art is done and produced is understandable and its a desire to appear unique to the point some one can just SEE your work and instantly think 'Oh! that's Ten-days!' or something along the line. However, when you are trying to find who you are and what kind of art you are to produce, I recommend trying, well, a lot of different things! Different styles, mixing styles, different colouring techinque, brushes, tools, shading. Don't feel dependant on what you are already doing and don't feel pressured by people just for trying new things!
Push out of your comfort zone. Can't draw hands? don't avoid it! draw the heck out of them! (how else are you going to learn?)

There's a new rip off guy in town doing the rounds, mostly on facebook, by the name of Seth Reedy. If you know of Rob Granito from a few years ago (heheh...we have a biscuit here in Oz called a "Granita" and I get weird visuals everytime I hear of Rob G...);.... well this guy is his dark sith apprentice.

I know G.W. Fisher myself, he has NEVER sold his work as the work of someone else. He sells it as his own version. As an inker, I have inked things that many other inkers have done as well. Devgear does it too and so do almost all the other inkers here. It's the nature of the job. Have I at times sold prints of my inks over someone else? Yes I have because the fans demanded it. They wanted MY work over the pencils as opposed to inks by others.

That's fine. I colour other people's pics as you know...

But this guy is passing himself off as *THE* only artist. He draws, he inks... There's no one else involved.

You and devgear always give due credit to the penciller and wouldn't claim to be the 'official' inker for the published picture if you did it as a fanart thing would you..? It's as if I coloured a cover or some-such, copied pixel for pixel from the published version, or as this guy seems to be doing, not even doing that and just taking a low res published picture off google and photoshopping out the original signature, and then tried passing myself off as the official colourist for the published picture. I've never done that and have always corrected people if they have thought otherwise. Not this guy though. This guy does that. That's a subtle but rather significant difference.

I'm not commenting on Seth Reedy or Rob Granito Sean. I am simply commenting on the allegations against G.W. His inks are ENTIRELY different than Townshend's inks and as far as I know he has never claimed that his inks are Townhends. If G.W. has done that, then I am unaware and none of this matters in the end.
