Fragments

1 min read

I have no idea what you're meant to do with these 'Fragments'.

But I keep getting awarded more of them.

This guy is really good. I know him very well, almost like an alter -ego even (hint, hint)

Ok, after a 6 month hiatus and gutting my gallery presence here, I'm back baby... In a limited sense at least.

There's no way I can re-upload my entire past gallery of over 700 images from the past 22 years, so I'm going to use this account for my published commissioned work only and my 'other' account (those who know me well will know what name this is under. If you don't know and want to, then PM me here and I may tell you) for general and personal work.

For now I'm starting with my general commissioned stuff.

Where have all the comic art inkers gone on Deviantart? There used to be dozens around posting regularly and available for collabs and the like, now it's just a ghost town.

I have literally hundreds of collected comic art penciled pinups and covers etc. on my HDD in a high resolution around 200/300dpi or large-sized-scan-at-a-lower-resolution-but-good-enough-for-inking that I'd love to colour some day. But they need to be inked first.

Now... by "inked" I mean a proper 'tracing' over the original pencils either traditionally by using pen/brush and actual ink, or digitally using clipart studio or some such. If you think 'inking' is just adjusting the levels sliders until it looks dark enough or by running over the grey pencil scan with the burn tool, then this is not for you.

There'd be no money involved in this. It's just a collab with a colour artist that's worked professionally for Zenescope and Marvel. I'd be perfectly happy for you to use the results in a portfolio of your own, just as long as I get a highres scan of the inks at the same dimensions as I give them to you in return. I also might add, I won't necessarily colour the picture immediately (I'm fickle and flighty...) but I will undoubtedly get to it eventually.

cheers

Sean

Pro artist Dawn McTeigue has made a stash of her past lineart pinups and covers available for people to colour during the current CoVid-19 lockdown :)

<da:thumb id="834690131"/>

She says...

For all of you doing your best to socially distance, isolate, or quarantine yourselves, I wanted to make my coloring pages available for free, digitally.

These are 39 high quality files that you can use to practice your digital coloring, or print out at normal letter size (8.5 x 11) and color with markers, pencils, or whatever you've got handy.

Thank you to everyone doing your part in this crisis by staying home! I hope you enjoy these. :)

For personal use only.

Here's the link to the zip file --> www.dawnmcteigue.com/pages/fre…
